Microsoft and Yahoo: ‘We’ve got a deal’
“What’s New” Update By Judi Hasson |

Microsoft and Yahoo announced a deal on Wednesday that allows the pair to team up on search and advertising sales, reports the Wall Street Journal.
The marriage of these titans makes it clear that they are going after Google in a big way. They now have a chance to impact the competition.
The plan needs the blessing of the government’s regulatory agencies. Once that’s done, here’s what you will see, according to WSJ:
- Microsoft will take over the technical side of Yahoo’s search offering using Bing and AdCenter technology to become the exclusive provider of search on Yahoo for 10 years.
- Yahoo will take over the global advertising sales operations for the joint search venture.
The two companies have put up a website to explain the deal. Check it out at ChoiceValueInnovation.com.
